The Bates Motel, Dracula's Castle, Elm Street -- imagine any one of these places and you might feel your heart start throbbing or the hairs on the back of your neck stand up.

That's because they're notoriously scary. When Halloween rolls around, some places in Loudoun transform into ones that would rival those we fear on the silver screen.

Throughout the month, we asked you to submit houses that feature the scariest and most elaborate Halloween decorations.
