Broad Run's Peeler has suspension lifted
Broad Run High School senior running back T.J. Peeler will be able to play in the Spartans' first playoff game after being reinstated by the Virginia High School League.Peeler, a University of Pittsburgh commit, was flagged for a pair of unsportsmanlike conduct penalties in Broad Run's 47-7 victory over Potomac Falls Oct. 30. He was ejected from the game, which carries an automatic suspension for the next game.
After Broad Run appealed the ruling, the Northern Virginia Football Officials Association reviewed the game film and determined that the first of Peeler's two penalties should not have been charged. Therefore, Peeler should not have been ejected following the second penalty.
