Middleburg
Christmas shop, story times, fly fishing and more
By Cheryl Kosmann
Emmanuel Church is hosting their sixtieth annual presentation of “Christmas Shop” on Nov. 5, 6 and 7. This is a special event to buy those unique, special items for your friends and family for Christmas. All proceeds go back into the community. The event will host 28 vendors from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. For more details, you may log onto emmanuelmiddleburg.org.
The Middleburg Library has story times on Mondays at 10:30 a.m. that are open to the entire family. For more information call 540-687-5730 or visit library.loudoun.gov. If you require any type of reasonable accommodation, as a result of a physical, sensory or mental disability, you can participate in their programs by calling 703-777-0368/voice/TTY. Three days notice is requested.
“A River Never Sleeps: Conversation, History, and the Fly Fishing River: A Full-Day Symposium” will be presented on Saturday, Nov. 21, at the National Sporting Library in Middleburg.
The Middleburg Humane Foundation could use your support by donating one of these critical items on their wish list. They could use used towels of all sizes, cat food, dry and canned, working riding lawn mowers and especially loving homes for the large number of adorable kittens and cats now available for adoption.
They rely solely on your generous donations of goods and time. Please consider helping our four-legged friends looking for loving homes! They also have dogs of all shapes and personalities and horses to join a family. Call 540-364-3272 or log onto mhfdtn@earthlink.net for more information on animals, upcoming fundraisers, recent rescues, and how you can help.
