Christmas Shop celebrates 60 years
Combine a visit to historic Middleburg with some holiday shopping this weekend at Emmanuel Episcopal Church's Christmas Shop.
The event, which began in 1949 as a way to raise money for those in need, includes 27 shops; vendors are expected from as far away as the West Coast. Clothing, rugs, toys and jewelry are just a taste of what's available for purchase.
Proceeds from the sales benefit local nonprofits including Seven Loaves Food Bank, Fish, Middleburg Fire Department and the Windy Hill Association, which provides housing for the local workforce and elderly residents.
