Sterling hams, ready for emergency service
In less than a half hour June 28, Joe D'Angelo, of Reston, reached fellow amateur radio operators in Texas, Iowa, Florida and Minnesota. He took part in the Sterling Park Amateur Radio Club's annual Field Day at Park View High School and contributed to the club's all time record – 2,250 contacts in 24 hours.
