Leesburg encourages 'wannabe' cops

I think it is a disgrace that the Leesburg Police Department has stooped so low as to let untrained citizens run radar guns to monitor traffic in Leesburg. This is an embarrassment to our community -- a few hours of training does make one certified to operate a radar gun.
This program was established for "wannabe" cops -- people who could never make it through the academy but want to play officer for a day. These people need to find a better way to spend their time. I will never take a program like this seriously.
