Future academy survey ending Sept. 30
The Loudoun County School Board is exploring the possibility of developing another academy program for the 2011-2012 school year.
An academy is a school where unique resources are concentrated for specialized instruction not ordinarily available in high school.
Loudoun County Public Schools operates two academy programs: the Academy of Science, housed at Dominion High School, and the Governor's Career and Technical Academy at Monroe Technology Center.
The School Board Committee on Academies is seeking input from the community to help determine the curriculum of this possible academy.
There's a brief survey on the school system's Web page, www.loudoun.k12.va.us, seeking your opinion. The survey will be active until Sept. 30th.
