Public comment sought on school facility needs in Ashburn, Dulles & Leesburg

The Joint Loudoun County Board of Supervisors and School Board Subcommittee on Capital Facility Needs Planning is seeking public comment on the need for schools in the Ashburn, Dulles and Leesburg Planning Subareas.

The subcommittee will hold a public input session on the need for, and the location of, elementary, middle and high schools in the Ashburn, Dulles and Leesburg Planning Subareas from 6 to 8 p.m., Oct. 7 in the Board Room of the Loudoun County Public Schools Administration Building, 21000 Education Court in Ashburn.

Anyone interested in speaking at the public hearing is encouraged to sign up in advance. Advanced sign-ups will be taken beginning after 8:30 a.m., Sept. 29 until noon on Oct. 7.

If you wish to sign up in advance, call the clerk to the Board of Supervisors at 703-771-5072 or 703-777-0200.

Speakers will also have the option to sign up at the public input session.

Hearing assistance is available for the meeting.

Anyone who requires any type of reasonable accommodation, as a result of a physical, sensory or mental disability, to participate in the meeting should contact County Administration at 703-777-0200.

Three days notice is requested.

The public input session is scheduled to be available for viewing on the Loudoun County Schools Channel on Comcast 18 and Verizon Fios 43.
