Briar Woods students attend Steve Forbes address
On Sept. 15, the Northern Virginia Technology Council hosted one of their “Premier Titans” breakfasts, with this event’s speaker being Chairman and CEO of Forbes Media and Editor-in-Chief of Forbes magazine, Steve Forbes.
Forbes was invited to the event after the NVTC’s special ad section, Northern Virginia: Innovating Technology’s Future, was published in the Aug. 24 edition of Forbes magazine.
The ad highlighted Northern Virginia’s business-friendly environment along with its ability to attract top-end technology companies. In his address titled, “What Now for the Economy?, Forbes praised the Northern Virginia business climate and expressed his views for the recovery of the global economy.
The NVTC was gracious enough to invite two representatives from the business and marketing programs at each of the Loudoun County high schools.
Briar Woods was represented by DECA President, Zach Deaton, and FBLA Vice President, Zach Lewis.
